“Gravitational Singularity”
“Gravitational Singularity” is an abstract exploration into one of the most enigmatic concepts in cosmology. In this piece, Beas delves into the idea of singularities – points of infinitely dense clusters of matter and gravity, intertwined with the elusive Dark Matter and surrounded by the mysterious Dark Energy. This artwork captures the intrigue and complexity of these astrophysical phenomena, which, despite being poorly understood, are believed to constitute about 95% of the total universe. The painting creatively interprets the forces of Dark Matter and Dark Energy, forces thought to drive the accelerated expansion of the universe. Beas’s use of mixed media on a framed wood panel allows for a rich, layered representation, inviting viewers to ponder the profound mysteries that lie at the very heart of cosmic understanding. The artwork serves as a visual metaphor for the unknown and unseen forces that shape our universe, offering a glimpse into the profound and often ungraspable concepts that define our cosmic reality.
